Beshte is the son of Basi, one of Kion's friends, a former member of the Lion Guard and a current member of the Night Pride. His specialty in the group is his strength. He is the quaternary protagonist of The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and the spinoff-series The Lion Guard.
